Summer is upon us. Beach time. But this year, you don’t have to drive hours to get to one. Over Memorial Day Weekend, a public beach opened on Lake Norman, allowing access to the lake to those who don’t own property there. We hear about the first county park in 40 years to allow swimming and how more could be on the way.
