A group of six ladies dressed in 60's era mod styles sat outside of Charlotte's Bechtler Museum of Modern Art during the DNC kickoff event, CarolinaFest. The women used typewriters to write letters to the president on behalf of festival goers in a project called, "I wish to Say."
Created by UNC Greensboro art professor Cheryl Oring and funded by the Arts and Science Council and the Charlotte in 2012 Host Committee, the letters are sent to The White House and a copy is saved for Oring's books.
