Proposed plan for ReVenture Park. View the whole map here.
A little more than two years ago an ambitious plan was put forth to develop 667 acres of a superfund site in Charlotte into a one-of-a-kind Renewable Energy Eco-Industrial Park. The project, called ReVenture Park, proposes to turn trash to energy and to dramatically increase the efficiency of recycling in our region. But ReVenture's developers have faced a series of setbacks in recent months and are now trying to keep alive a more scaled back version of the project. Guest Host Julie Rose gets a status report on the plan with ReVenture's developer and two county leaders who will be closely associated with the project.
Tom McKittrick - President & CEO, ReVenture Park
