Revitalizing downtowns has been a challenge for cities all over the country but as growth picks up and as younger people are looking for something other than suburbia and shopping centers, revitalization efforts are picking up steam. Some towns aren’t waiting for developers, they’re making their own plans and then looking for developers to carry them out. Some are tapping expertise from the University of North Carolina and we’ll hear about what they’re doing.
