During even-numbered years, the North Carolina General Assembly meets for a short session during the summer to update the state's budget and handle pressing legislation. That short session convenes this morning in Raleigh and WFAE's Julie Rose got a preview from Democratic Senator Dan Clodfelter, who leads the Mecklenburg County legislative delegation. Clodfelter says Charlotte and its neighbors could fare well in a few key areas.
