While television news trucks remained stationed outside her Dilworth home throughout the weekend, Paula Broadwell was celebrating her 40th birthday with her family in Washington, D.C., according to a neighbor.
Sarah Curme has been picking up the Broadwell’s paper and cancelling appointments with the family’s piano teacher since the Broadwells left on Thursday.
Curme said Paula Broadwell, the alleged mistress of former CIA Director David Petraeus, and her family is doing pretty well considering the circumstances.
“They’re trying to bring some order to something that’s very messy right now,” said Curme.
Curme said the family plans to return to Charlotte in the next couple of days, although she wasn’t sure exactly when. Click here to read more in the Charlotte Observer.
