People began lining up this morning at 4 a.m. to see a doctor for free at the Charlotte Convention Center. The National Association of Free Clinics converted the exhibit hall into a hive of makeshift exam rooms staffed by volunteer doctors and nurses. More than a thousand patients are expected to visit the one-day clinic - most of them uninsured because they've either lost a job or have one that doesn't offer health benefits. WFAE's Julie Rose spent the afternoon at the clinic and sends this postcard.
