The North Carolina Baptist State Convention this week dropped Myers Park Baptist Church, one year after the Convention approved tighter rules on accepting homosexuals. The rules describe homosexual behavior as a sin and call on church members to turn away from it. Leaders at Myers Park disagreed and brought up their dissent during this week's annual conference in Greensboro. WFAE's Simone Orendain spoke with Myers Park Senior Minister Stephen Shoemaker on the day the Convention voted his church out.
