Local News Roundup: More Presidential Candidate Visits; Polls Tighten For NC Races

This week's top stories: Political campaigning is in the homestretch, with November 8th just around the corner...  The NAACP gets a hearing on what they consider to be illegally canceled voter registrations, and the county commission talks magnet schools.

After months and months of an unprecedented presidential campaign, the election is mere days away. The candidates and their high profile supporters continue to cater to North Carolina for the vote- President Obama will be in Charlotte Friday to campaign for Hillary Clinton, while Donald Trump is in Concord and Clinton in Raleigh on Thursday.

Here in North Carolina, the Gubernatorial and Senatorial races remain tight heading into Tuesday’s election- we’ll have the latest from the trail in those campaigns, including an apology from Richard Burr about "bullseye" comments he made about Hillary Clinton 

There was a federal hearing Wednesday regarding over 4,500 voter registrations in the eastern half of North Carolina. The NAACP, who brought the allegations to the court says that the cancelations were targeted at African Americans. We’ll talk about what happened at the hearing…

And the Mecklenburg County Commission had a discussion about an upcoming CMS vote about magnet plan changes in the district. Those stories and much more, on the local news roundup.
