The state’s fiscal year started last month but lawmakers have yet to pass a budget. With a self-imposed deadline for doing so looming large, some legislators aren’t sure they’ll make it while those waiting for word on budget figures are getting nervous. Schools can’t plan without a budget and elsewhere in the legislature there’s still debate over teacher’s assistants. Then, there are decisions over sales tax distribution and more. We get an update.
