Have Fun Eclipse Stories, Plans, Or Memories? We Want To Hear Them!

solar eclipse
NASA/GSFC/CI Lab

Are you making plans to see the next solar eclipse on August 21? Have any fun memories of watching an eclipse with your family and friends? We want to hear from you!

We want to hear about your plans and memories around eclipses. Here's how to share...

Leave us a voicemail by calling 980-224-0537. You can also send us a voice memo using your smartphone (see instructions below). If you're recording your story, start by telling us your name and try to keep the recording under 30 seconds. We'll be accepting submissions through August 18. You can also send us an email to CharlotteTalks@gmail.com.

Tips for recording and sending a voice memo using your phone:

  1. Put your phone in airplane mode so no dings, pings, or calls go through as you record.

  2. Voice memos app on the iPhone

The built in voice memo app on iPhones is often located in the "extras" folder.

  3. Open the voice memo app, hit the record button. Hold the phone to your ear like you're having a conversation with someone. Make sure to hold the phone still, remember your recording picks up on everything.

  4. When you're done, stop the recording. Hit DONE and name the voice memo "yourname Solar" and hit save.

  5. Click on the file and attach it to an email. Email CharlotteTalks@gmail.com. In the subject put "yourname Solar."
