Police are investigating a shooting that injured four people in west Charlotte early Sunday morning.
According to a statement released by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call for service off Queen City Drive around 2:30 a.m. Three people were immediately transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds. A fourth victim was dropped off at the hospital with a gunshot wound a short time later.
One of the victims has life-threatening injuries. Police have not released any more details of the shooting at this time.
