This week, the President and the EPA unveiled an ambitious plan to reduce CO2 emissions from power plants on a much faster schedule. Advocates say the move is long overdue, opponents believe it could result in the shuttering of plants across the country, layoffs, and higher power bills. The new Clean Power Plan will certain impact Duke Energy but they say they’ve already been working on cleaning things up. We hear from both sides about this new plan.
