Part One: Election Wrap-Up We'll talk about the 2011 Election with political experts on this post-election edition of Charlotte Talks. Which of the 12 (or is it 13?) school board candidates made the grade and will be named to the Charlotte Mecklenburg School Board? Did Mayor Anthony Foxx win a second term, or will Republican opponent Scott Stone get the mayor's office? Who won seats on the City Council? Find out who the winners were and what their elections will mean to Charlotte and Mecklenburg County in the coming year, and we'll also meet the man behind WFAE's brand new political blog. Guests Lisa Miller - Reporter for WFAE, she covers education Dr. Martha Kropf - Associate Professor of Political Science at UNC Charlotte Ron Stodghill - WFAE's Political Blog writer. The Blog is called The Party Line: Raising the Curtain on Carolina Politics Part Two: Occupy Movement in Charlotte The Occupy Wall Street movement continues to grow in cities all over America and Charlotte is no exception. Protesters have been camping out on the old courthouse lawn for weeks and they say they aren't going anywhere soon. While the protests have been peaceful, the group itself has already seen its share of internal conflict and they say the media still doesn't understand their message. We'll hear from some Occupy Charlotte members and talk to a journalist who has spent a great deal of time with the group's leadership. An inside look at Occupy CLT. Guest Rhiannon Fionn - Freelance Reporter Occupy Charlotte's website
