The tragic shooting in Charleston ignited a firestorm over the last vestige of America’s Civil War: the Confederate flag. Protesters in front of the South Carolina Statehouse are calling for the flag’s removal as has South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley and other lawmakers. They will take up that debate in July but the country is already having the conversation. Could this be the last shot fired by the Confederacy?
