It has been a little over a month since former Charlotte mayor Patrick Cannon resigned after his arrest on federal corruption charges; he still hasn’t been indicted. Since then, we've been learning more about accusations of a pay-to-play scheme involving taxi companies and the airport. We have a new mayor, Dan Clodfelter who has said that "stability" is his highest priority for the city. The city has opened its books in the ongoing federal investigation into Cannon. Fights over control of the airport continue. And it's budget time. There's a lot going on in Charlotte at a time when the city tries to re-earn the public and the business community's trust.
