Three of Charlotte’s top chocolatiers will engage in a friendly competition for a good cause Saturday, Nov. 30 at Escape Hair & Skin Studio in Charlotte’s Historic South End.

Davidson Chocolate Company, The Secret Chocolatier and Twenty Degrees Chocolates will vie for votes in three categories during the salon’s annual party to benefit Toys For Tots.

During the celebration 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, party-goers will be asked to vote in three categories: best presentation; most unusual use of chocolate; best tasting.

“We try to have fun with our holiday party,” says Jim Tate, Escape’s owner. “After sampling so much of the wonderful chocolate available in the city, we wanted to go with a Willy Wonka-esque theme.” This is the fourth year of the party at the salon.

Party-goers are also asked to bring unwrapped toys for children between 4 and 16 years of age. Toys will be accepted through Dec. 18 at the salon. Admission to the event is free.

Escape Hair & Skin Studio is at 1440 S. Tryon St., Suite 102, Charlotte NC 28203. Phone: 704-375-3131. Website: Welcome2Escape.com. Email:info@Welcome2Escape.com.
