On the local news roundup...

The budget for Mecklenburg County for the next year has been approved, complete with a ¾ of a cent tax rate increase and funding for universal Pre-K education in the county. We’ll bring the details.

President Trump made an executive order, ending family separation at the US Border after outrage about the separations from people across the country. Closer to home, area politicians expressed their concern over the policy and their thoughts on immigration. We’ll talk through the issue and what our representatives have had to say.

PSA Airlines, the American Airlines-owned regional carrier had to cancel more than 2,500 flights since last Thursday because of a computer system malfunction- the problem hit Charlotte- Douglas International travelers particularly hard. What will the long term effects of the problem be for the airline in the Queen City and around the country?

And the legislation to fund a possible buyout or change to the I-77 Toll Lane project has failed. We’ll give you the latest.

Those topics and more with Mike Collins and our roundtable of reporters on the Charlotte Talks Local News Roundup.
