Dan Rather, a journalist who has covered all the major events of our lifetime and who continues to work at the age of 86. Mike Collins talks to Rather about his storied career and get his thoughts on the media, politics and his new book What Unites Us: Reflections on Patriotism.

Dan Rather was with CBS News for 44 years, 24 of them as anchor of CBS Evening News. In his tenure with CBS News, Rather covered all of the major news events of our time, including the assassination of President Kennedy, the war in Vietnam, Watergate, the fall of the Berlin Wall, 9/11 and much more.
Today, at the age of 86, he continues to cover important topics, through his contributions on Facebook, his new show on YouTube’s The Young Turks Network, and his many books, the latest of which is about what unites us.
Dan Rather joins Mike Collins in an exclusive interview before his visit to Charlotte. They talk about his career and share his thoughts on the media, on politics, on where America has been and where it’s headed.
