Pete Souza

WFAE
John Brennan, then Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism, in the Oval Office, May 3, 2010.

Thursday, March 1 2018

Former CIA Director John Brennan joined Mike Collins to discuss the national security challenges the nation has faced and continues to face, from Russian interference in our election cycle and their planting of fake news in social media, to the threat posed by North Korea to pressures in the Middle East.  John Brennan is now a national security and intelligence analyst for NBC News.

John Brennan had a long career in the CIA, serving under four different presidents.  He was director of the agency from 2013 to last year.

He is as connected to the threats facing the nation as anyone can be, from Russia’s interference in our election and their planting of fake news on social media, to the threat posed by Kim Jung Un’s attempt to achieve nuclear capability to on-going threats from the Middle East.

John Brennan is in Charlotte to speak to the World Affairs Council Charlotte about his time in the CIA and our current national security challenges… but first he’ll join Mike Collins for a discussion on that and more.

Guest:

John Brennan, former director of the Central Intelligence Agency
