County Manager Dena Diorio joins host Mike Collins with the latest on Mecklenburg County’s ransomware attack... and Todd Moss, once the top U.S. diplomat in West Africa, talks about his experiences and diplomacy, as well as his series of fictional international thrillers inspired by his diplomatic work.
Mecklenburg County government was crippled by a ransomware attack on Tuesday with hackers demanding $23,000 to get back the county's data.
Mike Collins gets an update from Mecklenburg County Manager Dena Diorio on how the county is handling the attack and what's next for the retrieval of information.
Then Mike is joined by Todd Moss, who was once the top U.S. diplomat in West Africa.
He talks about that experience, the downfall of Zimbabwe’s Robert Mugabe, the role the U.S. could play in that nation’s recovery, and about how all of this became the backdrop for a successful series of novels starring the character Judd Ryker.
