Charlotte voters head to the polls in just over a week to vote for Mayor and City Council but that’s not all. Voters must also choose who will sit on the next Charlotte/Mecklenburg School Board. Nine candidates are running for three at-large seats – two incumbents and seven challengers. With a number of key decisions facing the board in the coming year, this will prove to be an important election and we take a closer look at the candidates.
