As we've come to learn, there is an immense amount of data floating around out there about everything - including us. It's called "Big Data" and finding ways to make sense of it all so it can be used for good or evil has become increasingly important. Uses for big data include everything from national defense to health care, and training a new generation to better understand it is a mission of area colleges. We crunch the big data numbers today.
