Bank of America will no longer lend money to gun manufacturers that make military-inspired firearms for civilian use.
In an interview with Bloomberg TV, Vice Chairwoman Anne Finucane said the bank has had “intense conversations” with gun manufacturers over the last few months and said reaction to the new policy has been “mixed.”
"It’s our intention not to finance these military-style firearms for civilian use," Finucane said.
Bank of America says it will continue to offer banking services to firearms retailers.
