Art Pope is a very influential figure in North Carolina and, as he's risen through the ranks, he's become a rather controversial one as well. Chairman, CEO and President of Variety Wholesalers and of a foundation, he is also the state Budget Director, appointed to the job by Governor McCrory, for whose campaign Pope volunteered. A former legislator, Art Pope is making waves in his new job.
