Alan Rauch joined us a few months ago as part of an author's roundtable, and now he's back to chat with us a bit more. He is in his eleventh year as a professor at UNC Charlotte and has written extensively about the history of encyclopedias and 19th century books. He is interested in contemporary productions of knowledge... both the future and status of journals and books in the digital era. Alan Rauch is a writer with an interest in the intersection of science, technology and culture. Additionally, but probably not lastly, he has studied dolphins and dolphin culture for decades.
