Growing up in small-town North Carolina, Resa Goldberg endured a horrible experience with a high school boyfriend which impacted much of her adult life and all of her later relationships. With the help of a therapist she came to understand how that experience led her to be attracted to bad and sometimes violent relationships. Her memoir is an attempt to help others see what she missed and to avoid similar pain. We talk to Resa Goldberg and her therapist.
