(4/10/06) A group of immigrant advocates is urging Latino immigrants not to spend any money today. The group Communities for Comprehensive Immigration Reform is asking Hispanics in the Charlotte region not to buy gasoline, food, clothing and other consumer items and to skip gong to the bank. (04/06/06) President Bush visited Charlotte Wednesday to talk about terrorism and the Iraq war. The President also answered questions from several audience members. Mr. Bush spoke a lot about his committment to bring democracy to Iraq. He called Iraq the central front in the war on terror and said an early withdraw would embolden the enemy and send the wrong message to United States troops and their families.
