Play Looks at Undocumented Students

A new play on the status of undocumented college students opens tonight at Carolina Actors Studio Theater in Charlotte. It's mostly about Marie Gonzalez, a senior at Westminster College in Missouri. She came to the U.S. with her parents from Costa Rica when she was five with the intention of applying for permanent residency, but the family missed some crucial filing dates and her parents took voluntary deportation three years ago. WFAE's Simone Orendain spoke with Gonzalez on the day before she left for the Charlotte premier of "Limbo."

It's Curtains for US Airways Movies

US Airways has announced that, by the fall, the airline will remove the heavy machines that show in-flight movies. The carrier says doing so will save it about $10 million in fuel and other costs. It's the latest in a growing list of changes the airline is making in response to fuel prices that are 185% higher than they were a year ago. To talk about the changes and how US Airways and other airlines continue to cope - or attempt to cope - WFAE's Scott Graf called Joe Anselmo, the Senior Business Editor at Aviation Week Magazine.
