Join us Saturday, November 1st for the fifth annual Drop Dead 5K presented by AvidXchange!
Lace up for a one-of-a-kind race through history! The Drop Dead 5K returns this fall with our unique course winding through the peaceful, scenic paths of Charlotte’s Historic Elmwood Pinewood Cemetery. Covering 70+ acres, this resting place is home to some of the city’s most notable names.
In addition to the 5K, the event features a food truck, DJ, an award ceremony, and a guided tour after the race. BACK AGAIN THIS YEAR! At 10 a.m., join us for our third 1 Mile Kids Fun Run! This is FREE for kids (registration is required) and includes a fun run finisher medal.
Titanium Sound Band is excited to bring the fast-beat, high-stepping flair of Show Style bands together for performances, sportsmanship and entertainment this Saturday, November 1st, at 1pm at Hopewell High School in Huntersville.
Expect an incredible display of talent from marching bands across the Carolinas, as they compete at the 4th Annual Clash of the Titans band competition.

Connect with local artists and shop original artworks at our November 1st Art Market at Le Meridien Charlotte! ArtPop’s Art Markets are casual, accessible environments where all are welcome to connect with ten featured local artists and support their small businesses.
This build-a-band fundraiser puts adults in bands (all genders/ ages 21+). Each band will have one month to come up with 10 minutes of material to perform at an epic Battle of the Bands concert, all while raising funds to support a rad nonprofit that empowers allies and advocates through music and arts!
No instrument instruction is provided. Beginner to Advanced musicians are welcome!
Band Rehearsal space will be pre-determined. Each band must have a minimum of 4 rehearsals and rehearsal locations/dates/times will be coordinated with your band at the kick off event.
Participants will choose their own bands during the kickoff party with the following stipulations:
Each band must have:
1. We Rock Band Leader (one of our designated musician volunteers) 2. Drummer 3. Vocalist (they can also play an instrument at the same time) 4. Minimum of 2 Melody instruments 5. Minimum of 2 gender marginalized people: women, non-binary, or trans folks.
Bands will have their own crowdfunding page for WRC and share it with their circles while working on their set.
On December 6th, we will have our Battle of the Bands concert at Free Range Brewing in NoDa and determine the Rock Roulette winners!
There will be two prizes. One for the crowd favorite (determined by a decibel meter) and whoever raises the most money.
