Our reporters have been hitting the streets to learn what some of you think of Charlotte today, and where it's going. We've been airing some of these comments this week on Morning Edition in advance of a forum WFAE is sponsoring called "Charlotte: On the way to becoming...?" Today, we hear from residents in the east Charlotte area.

All this week on Morning Edition, we're hearing about the future of Charlotte. We sent our reporters to different communities in the area: Rich, poor, middle class; urban and suburban. We bring you these comments in advance of a Public Conversation WFAE will host next Tuesday, September 1, called "Charlotte: On the way to becoming...?"
