Police have arrested a third teenager in the fatal shooting of a man in east Charlotte Friday afternoon.

CMPD said in a statement Monday afternoon that it has arrested another unnamed 15-year-old in the murder of Eskinder Dawit Asefaw, 26. 

Police have identified the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred in east Charlotte on Friday. Eskinder Dawit Asefaw, 26, died at Carolinas Medical Center Saturday morning from gunshot wounds, CMPD said in a statement. His family has been notified of his death.

CMPD has charged Davenon Alexander Farmer, 39, in the murder of a man in northwest Charlotte.

Police are investigating a homicide that happened Sunday night in west Charlotte.

CMPD says officers responding to a call of assault with a deadly weapon around 10 p.m. found a man who had been in shot in an apartment off Tuckaseegee Road.  Police say he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim was later identified as 44-year-old William Jacobs. His family was notified of his death. 

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department homicide detectives are investigating the death of a man in south Charlotte after a call for service came in early Friday morning.

Officers in the Independence Division responded to a domestic-related assault call in the 400 block of Mountainview Drive at 3:42 a.m. and found an unconscious man. The man, later identified as 59-year-old Joseph Henry Grosjean, was transported to Presbyterian Hospital in Matthews, where he later died. 

Two teenagers are now charged in the fatal shooting of a woman in east Charlotte on Tuesday, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Charlotte police say a woman was shot and killed near an apartment complex in east Charlotte Tuesday morning in what they believe to be an armed robbery.

There were 12 murders in Charlotte from January through March of this year, compared to 21 homicides during the first three months of last year.

Brittany White is Charlotte’s first homicide of 2018. Freedom Division patrol officers responded to a shots fired call for service on Carlyle Drive.  Upon arrival, officers found Ms. White inside a residence with an apparent gunshot wound, she was pronounced deceased at the scene.
