Youth Body Image

We have long known that girls and young women have been very concerned about body image, sometimes forming unrealistic expectations fed by what they see in the media. That concern is now creeping downward into the consciousness of much younger children – as young as 5.  How widespread is this problem? How do kids who can’t read form an opinion of what their weight should be? We look into that and at what can be done about it.
