Women Of Vision & Fun With STEM

Part One: Women of Vision. We see the work of photographers who go into dangerous and uncertain conditions from the safety of our own homes when we look at publications like National Geographic or the New York Times. The pictures give us a better understanding of conditions in other parts of the world in a way that words could never describe. National Geographic is celebrating some of the women who have done this work around world with a new exhibition, “Women of Vision”, and the Mint Museum of Charlotte is the very first stop on its national tour. To discuss the exhibit and some of the work it celebrates, we’ll be joined by one of the photojournalists whose work is featured and by a curator of the exhibit to talk about the nature of photojournalism around the world.
