Frank discussions on race continue in our country with the focus often on the black American male. Black men have sometimes been demonized, marginalized and often misunderstood. The Gantt Center and UNC Charlotte’s Center for the Study of the New South have set out to examine why and how black males matter and they are doing so from the perspective of African American men all over the country. These men are asking questions of their peers and engaging in online conversations on a variety of topics. They will share with us some of the answers they’ve found and the questions they continue to ask.
