WFAE's Tanner Latham created this video montage of the event. The Violins of Hope exhibition runs through Tuesday at UNC-Charlotte's Center City Gallery. Last week, some of the violins recovered from the Holocaust were played during a Memorial concert at Charlotte's Temple Israel. WFAE's Mark Rumsey recorded these sounds from the event and spoke with violinist Shlomo Mintz, Rabbi Murray Ezring, and concert attendees. The evening included numerous songs and readings.
