Concerns about violence on television began almost simultaneously with the birth of the medium. Medical experts have long said children pick up on the violent behavior they see on the screen and can turn that make-believe violence into real-life aggression. But violence on TV doesn’t just come from Hollywood. The news is full of it and some experts who have researched the real-world effects of media violence share what they’ve learned with us.
