Victims Of Ponzi Scheme To Split $10 Million

Victims of the Ponzi scheme run by Charlotte businessman Rick Siskey will split $10 million under a plan approved in federal bankruptcy court this week.

The Charlotte Observer reports that money will cover more than 100 investors and represents about 28 percent of the amount each party invested with Siskey.

This is the first payment to victims who are expected to receive more as the bankruptcy case continues. The money will come from insurance proceeds Siskey’s widow, Diane, received following the suicide of her husband in 2016. Rick Siskey took his own life after it was revealed he was under investigation for fraud.
