Talk is cheap. Actions speak louder than words, right? Not according to the TED Talks. These short speeches are all about big ideas, inspiration and motivating people to act. They've made their way onto stages across the country, going viral on the internet and have even inspired a public radio show. TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design and brings people from those worlds together, spreading ideas, informing people with a goal of solving the world's problems. But it has really expanded beyond that, including many topics and now, Charlotte has its own version of TED Talks. TEDxCharlotte's goal is to "explore how ideas come together to form a community and inform many." We'll talk with some of these big thinkers.
Candice Langston - TEDx Charlotte license holder and organizer
Manny Ohonme - Founder of Samaritan’s Feet International, Author of Sole Purpose and a former TEDxCharlotte speaker.
Karla Williams - Principal, The Williams Group and a TEDxCharlotte speaker
- TEDxCharlotte is Friday, February 15th at the NC Music Factory. It is sold out. Details.
