This program incorporates literacy and public speaking into a curriculum that exposes teens to the industry of Journalism and Radio Broadcast. Teens are mentored by industry professionals and challenged every month to create and produce their very own radio show. Stereotypes

The August Show for Turn It Up: Teen Radio focused on the theme of “Stereotypes.” Teens created their own segments, music and conducted interviews with professional model Stacee Michelle, and Guidance Counselor Terri Smith with Ridge Road Middle School. Other interviews included O’Neal Atkinson, Director of Youth Programs at Time Out Youth and Nathan G. with the TOY Speaker’s Bureau.
