Part One: The Spongetones The Spongetones are one of Charlotte's best-known local bands. They've been around for over 30 years. Now, their fame appears to be spreading to -of all places - Japan. They're about to do a series of shows there later this month. Before they leave, we'll catch up with the band and hear some of their music. Guests Jamie Hoover - Vocals, guitar, bass, sometimes drums Steve Stoeckel - Bass, vocals, guitar Rob Thorne - Original drummer and percussionist Pat Walters - Guitarist, vocalist and keyboard player The Spongetones | Information about upcoming concerts and their tour Part Two: "Group f.64" at The Light Factory Join us for a conversation about the work of photographer Ansel Adams and his contemporaries. This group of artists was known as "Group f.64" for their modernist vision and style and includes Ansel Adams, Edward Weston, Imogen Cunningham, Willard Van Dyke, and Brett Weston. Some of their work is on display now at The Light Factory.
