Soccer Helping Immigrants Feel at Home

Sep 13, 2006

A new book highlights the role soccer played in the lives of young Hispanic immigrants trying to fit-in, in one North Carolina town in the 1990s. The book "A Home on the Field" chronicles the development of the Siler City Jets high school soccer team, and its road to the state championship two years ago. WFAE's Scott Graf had a chance to speak with the book's author, journalist Paul Cuadros.
