The recent shootings of two more African-American men by police combined with the shootings of police by an African-American man in Dallas have put the spotlight back on the state of relations between law enforcement and the black community.  The events hit home here due to a similar incident in 2013.  The trial of the police officer involved ended in a hung jury and since then, CMPD has been trying to rebuild trust.  Where all of this stands and reaction from Charlotte’s Police Chief Kerr Putney on the next Charlotte Talks.
