Tommy Rieman with President George W. Bush PTSD: A Local Soldier's Story For soldiers returning home from overseas, the road back to normality may be a hard one to travel. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder affects untold numbers of veterans coming back from Iraq and Afghanistan, and a stigma against having a "mental health" issue sometimes hinders the willingness for veterans to seek help. We'll be joined by medical and military professionals who work with PTSD, as well as a Concord native and Army Sergeant who suffered from PTSD and was part of a film to help spread awareness about PTSD. Guests Sgt. Tommy Rieman - Concord Native and Silver Star recipient. He's an Army Veteran who was in Iraq John Falkenbury - President of the North Carolina USO Paul Freedman - Director of Halfway Home, a film about returning soldiers who have PTSD Add and read comments
