Project Mosaic And Social Mobility

Thursday, October 2, 2014

Social mobility - the ability of a person to move up the economic ladder - has been declining in the United States and North Carolina ranks at the bottom of the list of states. In fact, the majority of Charlotte children born in the bottom fifth of income distribution stay there throughout their adult lives. UNC Charlotte is studying the problem and we meet a national expert on the topic along with those involved in ProjectMosiac to hear more about social mobility challenges.
