Police clear Chris Henry’s fiance

The fiance of Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry will not be charged in his death. Henry died last month from head injuries after he went out the back of a pickup his fiance was driving. They were arguing when he jumped in the back as she drove away from her parents' home in northwest Charlotte. A witness says Henry was beating on the truck. He came out about a half-mile away on Oakdale Road. Loleini Tonga told ESPN that Henry jumped. She suspects he may have been scared because someone in a vehicle behind them was calling police. Charlotte Police never determined whether Henry jumped. Its investigation found Tonga was only going 19 to 23 mph in a 35 mph zone, and there was no evidence of reckless driving. The medical examiner ruled the death an accident. Charlotte Police said Tonga was cooperative throughout the investigation. Tonga and Henry have three children together. They were in Charlotte visiting her parents while Henry was recovering from injuries sustained this season.
