The interim general manager of the Carolina Panthers has been placed on leave after his ex-wife accused him of harassment, according to multiple reports.

Marty Hurney, who took over for Dave Gettleman after he was fired, is being investigated by the NFL under the league's personal conduct policy. The team had notified the NFL that Jeanne Hurney had filed a complaint with Mecklenburg District Court and sought a restraining order against Marty Hurney, according to a Charlotte Observer report.

"The club advised the league of the matter in a timely fashion, and it is being reviewed under the personal conduct policy," NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said.

The judge in the case, Ronald Chapman, refused to issue a restraining order and set a Feb. 16 hearing date, the Observer reported. But when contacted, Jeanne Hurney told the Observer she had withdrawn her complaint. It is unclear if the hearing will go forward.

In her complaint, Jeanne Hurney alleged that her ex-husband or his "proxies" had entered her home and left sticky notes in a book she owned, highlighting words such as "victim" and "terrorize" and that her phone, laptop, and security system had all been hacked. She also detailed that she had changed her locks at her home multiple times.
