2014 marks the centennial of the opening of one of the seven wonders of the modern world: The Panama Canal.  It remains one of those wonders and is about to become more important.  With that in mind, The Mint Museum is opening a new exhibit: Connecting the World: The Panama Canal at 100, featuring works of art documenting the canal’s construction and its role in global trade.  We get a preview and talk with the U.S. Ambassador to Panama.

Guests

Dr. Jonathan Stuhlman - Senior Curator of American, Modern, and Contemporary Art, The Mint Museum

Jonathan D. Farrar - U.S. Ambassador to Panama

Danny Martin - excavator, the Nederland Mining Museum, Colorado
