The wine business in North Carolina is growing quickly. Sales are skyrocketing and have eclipsed the state’s better-known craft beer industry. From 2011, when we last talked about North Carolina wines, to today, the number of wineries in the state has gone from 100 to 159. Prior to prohibition, we were a major wine producing state and we’re fighting hard to become a player again.
