The Music Of Vince Guaraldi

No matter your generation, there's a good chance you have the tradition of watching "A Charlie Brown Christmas" around this time of year and find yourself humming Vince Guaraldi's timeless holiday music. But the prolific jazz musician, pianist and composer was more than just "the Peanuts guy." We'll talk about the life and music of San Francisco's "Dr. Funk" and his connection to the Peanuts. We'll also meet the head of Charlotte's Jazz Arts Initiative, whose mission is to preserve jazz music in our region - they are bringing together some well-known pianists to perform Guaraldi's music. She joins us along with pianist Chad Lawson and Guaraldi's biographer for a music-filled holiday edition of Charlotte Talks.
